About Me
As a teenager, my mother developed terrible pain in her arm and shoulder. Nothing the doctors did seemed to relieve the pain. Finally, they seemed to give up—telling my mother to live with the pain. But my mother was never a person to just give up. She went to a chiropractor and within weeks she was back to her old self. She no longer had to live with daily pain, ineffective medication or possible surgery. After living through this experience with my mother, I became fascinated by the body’s ability to heal itself. I decided to refocus my medical career from traditional medicine to chiropractic care.
After four years of pre-med at Boston University in Massachusetts, I enrolled at the Bridgeport Chiropractic School. After completing four years of graduate work at the Bridgeport Chiropractic and a one year internship at the university’s Bridgeport Clinic, I received a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. I spent several years working under experienced chiropractors before deciding to open my own practice, Healing Hands Chiropractic.
Like the science of chiropractic, which dates back to the 1800s, my practice has somewhat traditional values. In my clinic you aren’t just “Thursday, 10 am” because I feel that a personal connection with my patients is just as important as technical knowledge. Concerns about pain, the effect it has on a person’s life, and the ideal treatment plan are different for each patient. At Healing Hands Chiropractic, I take the time to communicate with each person, help them address their concerns, and educate them about preventing future problems. I feel extremely privileged to have patients who trust me and let me into their lives. There is no greater reward than helping my patients feel better and do better in their every day lives.
